Day 4: Sunshine & Plaid!

Sorry for the small hiatus I took...Thursday the power was out all day here in our area...and Friday, well, it was a Friday...can you blame me? All week it has been pretty much overcast so I thought today's post could use a little sunshine! I love throwing in punches of colour even though fall is right around the corner. The colder months are no excuse to get rid of your cheery hues....if anything, we need it more in the dark of winter! I picked up this cute yellow blazer at the Banana Republic outlet in Napa, Ca for $30. And the Prada bag was a gift from my Hubby after our milestone of 1 year old marriage. I Can't believe it's going on 6 years of being a Mrs. already....and I have to admit that bag looks just as amazing as the first day I laid my eyes on it. If there's anything I can recommend as far as purses and bags go is to invest in a few great ones you love than a hundred of lower quality ones you just "like". They will outlast them all and are completely worth saving for in the end! I also love Kate Spade, Tory Burch and Michael Kors

Day 3: A Red & Purple Date Night

This is what I wore on our last date night when the hubs and I went to the movies and then for drinks afterwards. I have come to realize as a stay-at-home mommy that you really need to go all out when dating your husband of five years. Not only is it to keep the spark alive but it's for yourself too. Sometimes dressing up can bring back a little lost confidence and I kinda like that about fashion.

Two things of note in this post...
First...my Burberry sunnies are now M.I.A :(...not such a surprise as I seem to have a problem when it comes to missing sunglasses. Oakleys...gone. Chanel's....gone. Burberry's....gone. Funny thing is, I can never seem to loose my cheapies, no matter how much I try....why is that?
And second... you'll notice I wore this exact same blouse yesterday but in a different colour. This is the first time I've applied the saying "If you love something that much, you should buy it in every colour". And boy did I take it to heart. I already have this Dex top in white, purple and hot pink....and just yesterday I stumbled upon a sale on thebay.com where they are going for $7.79. You can't beat that! So  of course I got 2 more.... in bright orange and blue.

Day 2: Neon & Bellbottoms

I have a confession to make....I've recently become obsessed with anything neon. Just the other day after my mom and I went to the nail salon I realized that I was wearing ballet flats....not so great for the new pedicure. So what did I do?  Well after sporting some chic flimsy paper flip flops I made a beeline for Aldo and picked up some hot pink gold studded sandals for $13.99.  And they are actually quite comfy too! Pair your neon with some elongating bellbottoms and you've got yourself a snazzy work appropriate outfit :)

Day 1: Lions, Tigers and Snakes...Oh my!

First of all....
